The wait is over, and Shondaland has Wendy and Toni left wanting for more Bridgerton! Yes, dear friends, we have binge watched the entire first season and currently watching them again. We also participated in the Bridgerton Twitter Live event for episodes one and two, and will attend the upcoming balls. A follow-up crossover episode with Plot Trysts to discuss which adaptation to film theories we got right or wrong is definitely needed. To hear our predictions, check our @litwallflowerspodcast IG page for the link in bio. One early topic was Henry Granville and his man-on-man scene. We got the other man’s identity wrong, but Granville plays a big role in Benedict’s back story. There were changes to Lady Danbury’s character and saw her influence with Simon. The previous Duke of Hastings was horrendous and we loved it. Lord Nigel Berbrooke, will we see him in future seasons in comparison to the books? We love the Eloise and Benedict interactions, especially when Eloise said, “You’ve have to be interesting.” Anthony is conflicted throughout the season and he ends with a declaration to marry, but not to his brothers as we theorized. Hopefully he’s leaving his rakish ways that we’ve seen in this season, or most of it. Then there’s the duke and duchess who obviously made better choices at the end to become one. Be warned, the trigger scene is included in Episode 6: Swish and handled differently than in the book. We got some theories right, but wrong at the same time. We didn't give too much detail in this episode to give our fellow busy bees time to watch the entire season and to prepare for the last book “On the Way to the Wedding” for the next #BingingBridgerton Readathon. Overall, we loved everything, even the ginormous reveal at the end!
