This episode is the first of eight episodes (all less than 30 minutes) in a Celebrate Poe holiday series. Mr. Bartley reads (at Mr. Poe’s urging) a charming short story about a gentleman who hopes his wife will give him a 10-volume set of Poe’s works for Christmas.

"A Set of Poe"
Below is a complete list of all eight episodes (past and future) with dates:
Wednesday, December 23 - Episode 16 - A Set of Poe - a charming Christmas story about giving
Thursday December 24 - Episode 17 - The Gift of the Magi - O’Henry’s classic story (also about giving)
Friday December 25 - Episode 18 - a regular episode of Celebrate Poe. This episode is called Christmas with Poe, with some of the Christmas music we believe Poe enjoyed, and the Christmas that Poe learned that the love of his life was going to marry another man.
Then I will skip the weekend to get ready for -
Monday December 28 - Episode 19 - The Phantom Coach, Part One - a gripping tale of the supernatural from England
Tuesday December 29 - Episode 20 - The Phantom Coach, Part Two
Wednesday December 30 - Episode 21 - Dagon by H.P. Lovecraft - a man who said he never wrote a story within thinking of Poe. I am still trying to figure out what this story means
Thursday December 31 - Episode 22 - “The Outsider” also by H. P. Lovecraft - I haven’t figured this one out either, but it is an extremely creepy tale. This episode ends with some New Years thoughts.
Friday, January 1 - Episode 23 - Another regular episode of Celebrate Poe with a fascinating look at Mr. Bartley’s hometown, Staunton, Virginia, and some of the occasions the Allans visited Staunton with little Edgar.
Thank you for experiencing Celebrate Creativity.
