Mishlei 21:8 - Estranged by Your Own Inconsistency (Part 1)
הֲפַכְפַּךְ דֶּרֶךְ אִישׁ וָזָר, וְזַךְ יָשָׁר פׇּעֳלוֹ:
This morning (11/22/21) we began learning a pasuk with a highly dubious hapax legomenon and highly confusing wording. This led us down a little rabbit hole about what to do with such cases. For some reason, today's shiur ended up being way more chock-full of methodology - including a story about a group of ethnobotanists and a crab that I heard from Tim Ferriss and have been waiting for a legitimate excuse to deploy. We got some approaches brewing, and plan to return to the pasuk tomorrow, beginning with Saadia Gaon's commentary.
