Description

Saint Constantine the Great was Roman Emperor from 306-337, and one of the most consequential of the entire history of the empire. He was the first Christian emperor, and under his edict of Milan Christianity became a tolerated religion in the Roman Empire, ending three centuries of persecution.  He also called the council of Nicaea, which clarified the divinity and humanity of Christ.

In this episode we read a short biography of the saint, and an excerpt from an article about his importance to Orthodox Christians, Constantine The Great: Roman Emperor, Christian Saint, History's Turning Point
