What is the will of God?
Jesus’ example
(2) Prayers during his ministry:
(a) before the conflict with the Jewish leaders (Luke 5:16);
a. Often withdrew in prayer
(b) before providing the "Lord's Prayer"
The Lord's Prayer appears in two of the four Gospels: Matthew (6:9-13) and Luke (11:2-4).
(b) before walking on the water (Mark 6:46)
a. He departed to the mountain to pray
(3) Prayers at his miracles:
(a) healing the multitudes Before preaching, ministering, dealing with demons:
Mark 1:35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. 36 And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. 37 When they found Him, they said to Him, "Everyone is looking for You."
38 But He said to them, "Let us go into the next towns, not back to the towns where people were searching for Him… RUDE…. NOT.. GOD directed His paths. that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth." 39 And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons. NKJV
“Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”
John 5:19 NKJV
• Acts 19:16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. NKJV
o They have been stripped and brought to naught but we must know who we are in Christ.
o We must know the authority we have in Jesus
o We must have direction from God a d be at the right place at the right time doing the right thing
(b) before feeding the 5,000 (Mark 6:41); and looked to heaven and blessed
““So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”
Exodus 23:25-26 NKJV
When dealing with health issues:
Luke 5:15 However, the report went around concerning Him all the more; and (1)
great multitudes came together to hear, and (then) to be healed by Him of their infirmities. 16 So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed. NKJV
The sick showed up and the healer left. What?…. Where is the love?
God is love but ministers are not the healer not God. Need to pray before ministering
