WHAT PRAYER IS NOT

 Matt 6:7 And when you pray, do not use vain (useless) repetitions as the heathen do.  8 "Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

Matt 6:9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven NKJV

 Ex 20:1-7  And God spoke all these words, saying:  2 "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 "You shall have no other gods before Me.  4 "You shall not make for yourself a carved image — any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. WHO TO PRAY TO

 Deut 5:4-5 The Lord talked with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire. NKJV

John 16:23 "And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.  24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.  NKJV

Eph 3:14 For this reason I bow mykneesto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

PRAYERS GOD CANNOT ANSWER

1 John 5:14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will (Not all prayers are heard.  We know His will according to His word.  Cannot pray his will if do not know his will), He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know (Faith, boldness, confidence begins where the will of God is known) that we have the petitions (not things needed, thought deserved) that we haveasked of Him. 

 What He told us to do

THE MESSAGE1 John 5:14 And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he's listening. 15 And if we're confident that he's listening, we know that what we've asked for is as good as ours.
