Paula DeLuise is the owner of The Best Day Ever Events by Paula, a wedding planning and event day-of coordination business based in New York and serving the tri-state region. Paula joins Regina and Cate to talk about how her big Italian family and childhood passion for throwing parties inspired her to start her business, and about being in that movie with Liam Hemsworth (two of the three of them on the podcast were swooning pretty hard).
We talked about how Paula's career in the entertainment industry (she's a dancer) has helped shape her approach to weddings, and we spent some time talking about the importance of a good first impression AND about continually renewing our clients' trust in us over time.
Unlike most wedding planners/coordinators, Paula focuses entirely on wedding day management. Her goal is to work with clients who have already painstakingly planned their big day but don't want to be responsible for pulling it all off--they want to be present for their own party! She's super clear about what she loves to do and who she serves, and it was great talking to a vendor with such a specific niche and purpose.
