The things we think will satisfy us often just lead us to more questions, pain and dissatisfaction. Jesus knows this, and so wisely shows us even when he meets our physical needs and wants, not only will we have new ones, but we will start to expect tangible blessing instead of the true, abundant, deep life he offers. In tonight’s story, he feeds thousands to remind us that we never have to hunger again.
