China's sorties into Taiwan's, North Korea Conducting New Missile Tests, Enrique Tarrio, Proud Boys Leader
Retired US Diplomat to 5 different nations David Hunter shares his knowledge, passion, interest, and experience.
Today's Agenda:
1) China is flying over 100 sorties into Taiwan's air defense region: In the last week, in part to commemorate mainland China's national day celebrations, the PLA air force has flown over 100 separate flights across the Taiwan Straits, into Republic of Taiwan's air defense space. This is seen as a provocation, as well as testing Taiwan's ability to respond. Does this signal that Pres. Xi intends to invade Taiwan? If so, what will be the likely US response?
2) North Korea Conducting New Missile Tests: In the past few weeks, NK had launched new missiles and a 'hypersonic' cruise missile. But these are not ballistic missiles, so do not violate the sanctions rules. What is Dictator Kim Jung Un trying to do here?
3) Enrique Tarrio, Proud Boys Leader: The Proud Boys, an allegedly 'white nationalist' militia in US, is led by a Cuban Afro-Latino, Mr Tarrio. Years ago he worked as an FBI informant. He lives down in Miami, FL. How can the group be white nationalist if it's own leader is an ethnic minority? What was his role in the Jan 6th riot on Capitol Hill?
