Pakistan Nuclear Scientist A.Q. Khan DIes, Time to Pull the Plug on Pakistan?, and more
Retired US Diplomat to 5 different nations David Hunter shares his knowledge, passion, interest, and experience.
Today's Agenda:
1) Pakistan Nuclear Scientist A.Q. Khan DIes: Khan was the 'father of the Islamic Nuclear Bomb' , and became a 'hero' in Pakistan, while being seen as a nuclear smuggler to the Western world. He allegedly helped North Korea develop it's own nuclear bomb. He died Oct 10th, 2021, age 85, while still under 'house arrest' for many years in Pakistan. What do you think of him?
2) Time to Pull the Plug on Pakistan? : US expert Arthur Herman wrote an article in 'The Hill' suggesting it's time for the US--- and the world ---to “pull the plug on the toxic relationship with Pakistan”. In the wake of withdrawing US troops from Afghanistan, and Pakistan supported Taliban taking over, is it time to radically reassess our policy toward Pakistan? What do you think?
3) Is America's Superman Stuck in the Phone Booth?: The US has been since WWII the undisputed leader of the "Free World", and was respected for it's integrity, honesty, generosity, and it's willingness to take on international burdens to help maintain global peace and stability. But nowadays, we are questioning our self-appointed role as world leader. China is preparing to replace us. What should we do?
4) G-20 Summit Coming Up: On Oct 30-31, 2021 there will be a G-20 Summit in Rome, Italy. It includes India, Russia, China , Australia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UK , Mexico and USA, among others. French Pres. Macron hopes to meet Biden there, to 're-engage relations'. Turkey's Erdogon also wants to meet him . What else will happen?
