Today I’m sharing my story of how at 41 years old I’ve finally discovered what I want to do when I grow up.
Going all the way back to elementary school when my fascination with science and the human body first started, through high school and college when my body image and battles with food began, I’m unpacking how all of that came together to shape my interest in teaching movement and now coaching nutrition.
The very deep, lived experience of battling my body and food for nearly 20 years and working to get to a place of acceptance, happiness and trust is where I am focusing my work in helping other women.
Learning how to eat in a way that is nutritious, filling and delicious. Learning how to take away the fear and anxiety around going out to dinner or away on vacation. Rediscovering that exercise and movement has nothing to do with how many calories you ate the day before. Finding a body weight and size that is sustainable for life without restriction.
This is what I was made to do. I’m so grateful to have finally figured it out.
