Description

When speaking about fears, the one we tend to be the most familiar with is the fear of failure. This fear of failure is what drives us to procrastinate, to stay small and to duck away from opportunities that might demand us to tap into our full potential.

In this podcast episode I go through the reasons why the fear of failure is something that we need, that has saved us in the past and is still of great benefit to us in our modern day lives... yet it does not come without its limitations.

I share with you the 3 lessons that completely shifted my view on failure as well as the 6 steps to reflect over the fear of failure you might be facing in a given situation:

  1. Notice the fear and accept it as something separate to yourself
  2. What does the failure I'm fearing actually look like?
  3. What would be the Worst Case Scenario if this failure were to occur?
  4. How would I pull myself back up from this Worst Case Scenario?
  5. What kind of person would I have to be to handle the potential failure?
    1. When have I been this kind of person?
    2. How can I show up as this person?
  6. What would be the Best Case Scenario if I were to go through with this? What impact might that have on all areas of my life?
