Description

Psychological safety is defined as “a shared belief that the team is safe for interpersonal risk taking” and “a team climate characterized by interpersonal trust and mutual respect, in which people are comfortable being themselves” (Edmondson, 1999:354). Psychological safety in the workplace is a vital concept in understanding company culture and team dynamics (Edmondson & Lei, 2014). In psychologically safe teams, team members are not afraid to admit to their mistakes, ask for help, share their opinions, or challenge others’ opinions.
