She has lived in Santa Cruz, California for 20 years and I am originally from Rochester, New York. She is the founder and director of the Tannery World Dance and Cultural Center- a non-profit dance and cultural center that supports the work of world and contemporary dance artists and is a beacon of cultural arts in Santa Cruz. Her life's work has centered around creating bridges between people and the community.
