The COVID Pandemic has brought in a new wave of innovation - from mass organizational adoption of new technologies to groundbreaking vaccine breakthroughs. However are the laws of Intellectual Property the protectors of innovation or the enemy of it?

We sit down this week with Carolina Hanssen, Legal Officer in the Legislative and Policy Advice Section at World Intellectual Property Organization. In the episode we discuss life working at WIPO - specifically her work in creating and developing IP systems for developing countries, the centrality of a tailored IP system to economic growth and development, and debunking the myths surrounding patents and IP as being anti-innovation.
