This week we’ll be sitting down with James Bewely, a Director in the Financial Crime Business Oversight Compliance team at Barclays. In the episode we discuss what is Financial Crime Law, the factors that gave its accelerated rise to a prominent area of practice, and the role of technological development in it.
Outside of Financial Crime, we discuss James’s career journey - starting off as a Criminal Barrister, transitioning to a Senior Associate at HSF, and finally life as an in-house lawyer and the career progression opportunities that come from it.
