To cheer up people's spirits this week after the reintroduction of national lockdowns, I wanted to share with you perhaps one of my favorite conversations I’ve had on LegalTea thus far - not only for the impact and excitement in the practice area we’ll be discussing, but for its overall testament to the importance of resilience and proactivity with one’s career

This week we sit down with Jood W. Alharthi, UN Peacebuilding Associate and Swansea LLB/SOAS LLM Graduate. In the episode we discuss life working at the United Nations - the centrality of project management, working with a variety of governmental as well as local stakeholders in conflict zones, and adapting priorities and project goals in the wake of COVID. But we also talk about Jood’s unique career journey, from doing her LLB at Swansea University, to working in Corporate Law, to creating her own LegalTech start-up, to ending up working at the HQ UN office in New York.
