When you meditate correctly you come to experience your true Self which if forever blissful. However, when you live your daily life with its challenges and ups and down you can forget that higher awareness that you have experienced in meditation. Then you may say, "I got it, but!" You have had the direct experience of meditation but you seem to have lost it while doing the everyday things in life. There is an expression that says before realization, chop wood, carry water and after realization, chop wood, carry water. This means that your everyday life practices don't change. Even your personality traits and likes and dislikes may not change that much however you are established in the peace or contentment of your own Self even while you taking care of your everyday life challenges. It is understandable to say "I got it but" when you begin your practice and lose that awareness more easily at the beginning, so, therefore, continued meditation practice is essential as then you will say. I got it!
