Joey shares some personal parenting mistakes, proposes some questions about parenting, and discusses some helpful findings he's had as a parent. In this first installment, he shares a story that poses the following question: is there such thing as kids having “healthy fear” of their parents? Also, there’s a cool financial app for kids called Greenlight and a must-read book called “Feeding the Mouth that Bites You.” This books reminds readers that "teen years" is a relatively new concept and in the 1930s, 15 year olds were managing their own families, households, and farms. As much as we'd like them to be still be kids, they are learning, young adults now. Thus, we may want to rethink how to parent these aliens in our house. I feel confident this book is a good start.
