While currently in the midst of fighting for a roster spot with the Los Angeles Dodgers, first baseman and outfielder Zach Reks joins Bats Left Throws Right to discuss his Spring Training battle. A lefty hitter and righty thrower, Zach hit a .284 average with 19 HRs and 71 RBIs in 2019 for L.A.’s Triple-A affiliate, the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Selected by the Dodgers in the 10th round of the 2017 MLB Draft, he started his collegiate baseball career at the United States Air Force Academy in 2013. Zach would go on to take three years away from baseball after his freshman season, before returning to the game at the University of Kentucky. Tune in for more on his journey to a shot at making a defending World Series championship team.
