We received a request for a story by a listener named Hannah! (Thank you Hannah). Katie covers the sad story of a little girl named Zhara Baker. She was a bright young girl from Australia who fought bone cancer and unfortunately lost part of her left leg and had to wear a prosthetic leg. She also lost hearing in both her ears due to the cancer treatment and had to wear hearing aids. She beat cancer and was on her way to a bright future. That was until her father Adam Baker met a woman named Elisa Fairchild and they moved to a small town in North Carolina. Elisa was abusive to Zhara which resulted in her death.
I said it was from a 2020 episode but it was a 60 minutes episode (My bad).
