Welcome to the first episode in our new series Clinical Communication Pearls! A series where we will sit down with experts to provide students with realistic and practical advice on how to best approach various clinical encounters.
On today's episode we sit down with Colton Boney, a M1 at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Founder and Former Director of Good Samaritan Clinic’s Hepatitis C treatment program and HIV testing program in Santa Rose County, Florida, to discuss topics such as how to suggest STD testing to our patients, telling a patient they have HIV or AIDs, dispelling common myths surrounding HIV and how we as physicians can limit health disparities.
We hope you enjoy this episode!
