I am thrilled to be joined on the podcast by the lovely Susan Angel Miller from her home in Milwaukee.
Following the death of Susan’s teenage daughter, Laura and her own health crisis, she craved a roadmap to help her navigate a world that she no longer recognized. Sharing her story with friends and then writing her memoir allowed her to craft a narrative she could live with. She eventually gave herself permission to grieve, survive, and even thrive.
Susan believes in our human capacity to move forward “in spite of” life’s tragic events and losses. She eventually came to a place where She could give herself permission to move forward — to grieve, survive, and even thrive — without guilt.
Her goal is to encourage those facing a loss to recognize and nurture the emotional growth that emerges through the struggle.
In this episode, we explore Susan’s trauma recovery journey and tackle topics like grief, loss, post-traumatic growth following trauma, organ donation, and so much more.
Enjoy the episode, and a special thank you to my listeners for joining me on this journey. Stay tuned and keep listening.
