Susanne is a wellness coach with a large medical group, a yoga instructor, a recovery coach, a triathlete, and mother of 2 kids ages 17 & 20. She works with clients to build healthy habits and coping skills, and is currently back in school for another Master's, in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Susanne stopped drinking to improve her health and become more aligned with her values. She was a triathlete and a coach and doing a lot in the community but she felt like she had a big secret with the drinking. Her kids were at an impressionable age and they were getting messages about how bad alcohol is for you and yet the parents were still drinking. It seems to be pervasive in the media that it’s okay to drink but it wasn’t sitting right with her but she had no role models of non drinking fun people at the time. It became obvious that it wasn’t fitting in with her healthy lifestyle and after noticing how tired it was making her, she decided she wanted to experience her body alcohol free and 5 ½ years later she is still going.
