Washington Congressman Adam Smith joins the Chino Y Chicano to talk about his struggle with chronic pain, anxiety and depression. Smith has represented Washington state’s 9th Congressional District for 26 years. He details his physical and mental health challenges in his book Lost and Broken: My Journey Back from Chronic Pain and Crippling Anxiety. Smith also weighs in on today’s political divisiveness in and outside of Congress. His Bellevue home was recently vandalized by pro Palestinian supporters calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.
