As a comedian, he's naturally a funny guy. But, he has a very serious side, too. And his unique ability to 'switch it up' will sometimes catch you off-guard. He's one of the few comedians I know who can share intimate moments about his life and family, explain the deeper meaning of 'Ramadan', then turn around and masterfully create a joke about all of it.
They say most comedians choose the profession to hide their true pain or to find a way to escape from it. Many of the greats have done it and thrive. Though I've known him for over 20 years, it was refreshing to know another side of Tone X whom I've grown to love and call a friend.
