Jenn Solomon is a Yoga Therapist, Trauma Yoga Specialist, Ayurvedic Health Counselor and the Owner of PC Yoga Collective.
How can you create authenticity in your wellness? Jenn is an amazing example of what it means to be truly authentic. She offers us choice, opens the space, and gets into many wellness topics where we can look at things through new lenses. We get into topics of yoga, ayurveda, nervous system, trauma, and the mind/body connection.
How can we release all the thoughts, all the stress, all the sensory input from the day? Jenn talks about having yoga as a space to let all of that go. To release all the stuff that we don't need to be carrying around with us, and that opens more space to just be ourselves. A space you can authentically be yourself. What a relief!
Jenn talks about being fully yourself by letting go of the “Good Vibes Only” mentality, and instead, look at yourself fully. Look at your emotions, thoughts, discomfort and fears. We all have bad thoughts, we all have low moments - instead of shutting these down, we turn towards them which then opens the door to forgiveness, compassion and acceptance. It is a place you can come that is safe, to be yourself, to get to know yourself on a different level of compassion authenticity.
Jenn talk about trauma and how it can show up in the body. She explains both Trauma Informed Yoga & Trauma Sensitive Yoga. The bottom-up process of healing the body and working through the nervous system to allow the body to come back into balance.
Lastly, Jenn gets into the beautiful practice of Ayurveda. Focusing on individuality is about what is authentic to you and that beautiful blend of what makes you YOU. Finding the perfect balance where you can feel centered in your diet, exercise, body, mindset & spirit.
