We can so often give into the world's, and our own way of doing things, at the cost of our relationship with God. James 4 challenges us to choose to submit to God's ways, and resist the schemes of the enemy, pride, and the seductive pull of the world. However, we cannot do this on our own. We need the grace of God, and that only abounds in a posture of humility before him.
