"And then eight months later, I stood by and watched my husband take his last breath. I could not imagine how I would ever be okay, again. I mean, we were happy again. We were loving each other. We were going places. But then it ended right now. As I sat in that and started my grief journey. I began to hear words. And I was my husband's caregiver while he was ill he died here in our home. And when I was caring for him, I heard the same words. And those words were stand, trust, endure, and proceed. Now when I heard stand, because that's the first word I heard, I wasn't sure I thought it meant that I had to be strong. And I know how to be strong. So I was like, Okay, I've got this. I know how to be strong. But that wasn't it. It meant that I needed to stand in my face, allowing or using everything that I already had planted in my heart to help assure me through the grief process into my healing."
Anita is an incredible woman of God who inspires and teaches new beginners all over the world how to master the basics of garment sewing. She's also a transformational speaker, sharing a message of hope, perseverance, and triumph for those who are living in the midst and aftermath of devastating life trials and best-selling author of STEP Into It, Overcoming Trials that Lead to Purpose.
