In this episode, we take a look at suffering and what it looks like in God's eyes.

Today's guest, Paul Granger, host of the Where Did You See God podcast, and I discuss suffering in a biblical context.

suf·fer·ing
/ˈsəf(ə)riNG/
noun
the state of undergoing pain, distress, or hardship.

Nothing about that description sounds like anything that any of us would ever seek and yet, it's a thing we all have dealt with, and may very well have to deal with again.

My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees.
–Psalm 119:71

...knowing that suffering produces endurance,  and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
–Romans 5:3-5

Hey friends, this has been on my heart for a long time…

I’ve wanted to add a charity component to The Nook Podcast—a way for this community to rally together and actually make a difference in the lives of hurting people.

And I can’t think of a better recipient than Crisis Aid International.

Together, we can be the light in the darkest places.
