Description

In this week's episode, I sit down with the super funny Emily Zawisza, and we talk about her journey into the improv world, her work at Four Day Weekend, and how to use improv’s method of “yes and” in your work and day to day life.

After college, Emily enrolled in the Four Day Weekend Theater’s improv training center and was immediately hooked. This motivated her to move to Chicago to continue her improv comedy education, where she was accepted into and graduated from the world-famous Second City Conservatory, as well as the iO Training Center. While nights were spent performing with various improv troupes, she built a career on the intersection of comedy and business. From her jobs at Groupon, The Onion, The Second City, and Slate Magazine, the common thread has been how humor and intelligent wit can be powerful tools in communication and business. Now working back at Four Day Weekend, where it all started, she can be found collaborating with Fortune 500 companies to create engaging content and train employees with improvisational techniques.

This episode is perfect for anyone looking for techniques and exercises to build trust and communication in the workplace or for anyone who needs a laugh or two.
