Listen

Description

Stacey and Shane have 2 little boys who both have special needs. Her days are spent in different therapies, advocating for her kids and managing their different health concerns.

As a teacher and lover of kids herself, Stacey's idea of motherhood and her experience are very different and she wrestles with navigating this new world she didn't anticipate for her family.

She helpfully reminds us all of the main priorities in our parenting (special needs or not) and that is salvation, for both us and our children. I love her reminder to cast all our cares and anxieties onto God, we can trust Him with our troubles, He cares for us.

"When I guess the world sees hopelessness, the beauty as a Christian mom is that I can see God's power on display."

"I think we often hear at church that, you know, you need to trust God in the storm. At least personally speaking, that is one of the easiest times to trust God, because all else has failed and falling around you."
