It is so lovely to have a cloudy day with rain all day long. After two months of drought, I had forgotten how pleasant it is to have a cloudy rainy day. And the sleep! It’s so much easier to sleep in on a rainy morning, relax with a book and feel guilt free for staying indoors when there’s rain.
Since this was recorded we had much more rain – a legitimate deluge for a couple of days that caught us up on rainfall though it may not have refilled the groundwater table. I am so thankful for nourishing water and the ability to grow plants, have drinking water, and not fear using too much water when doing laundry or running the dishwasher.
