Andrea has a bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance from St. Mary’s College of California. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University and is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. 

Andrea is a graduate of the Institute for Functional Medicine’s Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP - 2012). She has studied with the Kresser Institute and Functional Medicine University as well as many conferences. She is featured in the book, Unconventional Medicine by Chris Kresser.

Through the utilization of Functional Medicine, Andrea has helped thousands of people come off of excessive medication prescriptions and restore natural balance to their bodies.

In her practice, The Remedy Martinez, Andrea helps people identify the root cause of their disease using thorough assessment of patient history, advanced laboratory analysis, clinical experience, bioenergetics and functional medicine principles. Using a unique and individualized approach, she helps her patients reconnect with their natural ability to heal and to encourage their bodies' natural states of function.
