September's theme is going to be "navigating the first weeks of school." In this series, we're going to be discussing various topics that relate to making sure those first weeks of school set you up for success inside your classroom. This is a time that can be extremely challenging to do on your own, especially if you don't have the mentorship or support. Today's episode is focused on setting up routines and procedures from the get-go. Here's how the episode will flow:

• why routines and procedures are so important to set up from the start rather than waiting for the students to adjust
• what routines and procedures you should be implement in those first weeks
