We all have excuses as to why we are too busy to make plans or too busy to spend quality time with our partners or spouses.
Teaching is always busy and I doubt that will change. It's a matter of changing our thoughts around our ability to integrate work + life; letting teaching be a small part of your life rather than you entire life.
