I just loved my conversation with Nancy Kwon. I didn’t know Nancy before this conversation. I learnt about her through a feature article in an Expat Living Magazine. In the article she was described as spunky, passionate and genuine as well as an outspoken advocate for cultural inclusion and female empowerment. I knew I just had to meet her.
In this episode We talked about being an immigrant to the US from South Korea. About being an Expat in Singapore, her work in women’s health and how she likes to bring unusual presents back from her travels for her sons and the work she does with women from South Korea in Singapore. Such an interesting story and a fun conversation. I hope you enjoy learning how Nancy is breaking barriers.
During this conversation Nancy refers to the TED talk The Danger of a Single Story and the concept of "windows" and "mirrors" as metaphors for diversity and inclusion. You can learn more here at The National Seeds Project.
