It's the 2nd episode of Badass Women Month and this time we're celebrating the accomplished martial artist, Cynthia Rothrock. Rothrock was the queen of direct to video (videos were these clunky things that had reels inside that played moving pictures on your television) action flicks. Never quite reaching the mainstream but a star in her own right. Like podcast favorite Don "The Dragon" Wilson she was already established in her craft before she made the switch to films.
Now if you think an episode on two Cynthia Rothrock films is more than enough to grab your attention, then the addition of the great Bolo Yeung (Enter the Dragon and Blood Sport) is not only going to grab your attention but twist your attentions neck until it snaps (seek medical attention for your attention at the earliest convivence. That's right both movies feature Bolo as the villain, (I guess that might be spoilers if you never saw the cover or have seen Bolo in action) and we're even treated to some Rothrock vs Yeung action... but will that be enough to justify entering Tiger Claws 1 and Tiger Claws 2 into Badass Women Month? You'll have to listen to find out.
Per usual we will ask the most important question, are Tiger Claws 1 and 2... BLOODY GOOD FILMS?!
