Are Multi-Level Marketing companies good business decisions?

Before we begin this episode, the two of us here at The Motherhood and Money Show want you to know that this is a shame free space. We will always support you in whatever decisions you make for you or your family. We have your best interest at heart. We always want the best for you so you can continue to navigate your life by your conditions and feel empowered in them.

That being said, one of purposes of this podcast is to make sure moms are making informed decisions about their money.  In this episode, we explore the facts when it comes to the MLM model so you are fully informed when evaluating your business decisions.

In this episode we discuss the MLMs each of us were apart of, as well as tell the stories that are unique to us. We understand not every story is the same, and not all companies are created equally.

We use the definition of MLM from Investopedia.com, which says, "Multilevel marketing (MLM) is a strategy some direct sales companies use to encourage existing distributors to recruit new distributors who are paid a percentage of their recruits' sales. The recruits are the distributor's 'downline.' Distributors also make money through direct sales of products to customers.'

We also mention an informative resource to find the history of MLMs: The Dream Podcast

Another great source with statistics we quote in this episode is The Likelihood of MLM Success from The Balance Small Business.
