Carlos Sainte has always been an artist. Anyone who has known him from the early years to present would agree that he was always drawing as a kid. But he was always told that art was a hobby, not a career. Listen as he shares more about his background and why he’s glad he’s made his way back to art.
After high school, Carlos knew he didn’t want to go straight to school. Instead he enlisted in the Marines and learned about responsibility and how the world works. After he left the Marines he did go to school and he left with his Bachelor’s of Science.
As most of us do, he stepped into a 9 to 5 and thought is this it? It was that feeling of unease with the trajectory of his future that had him looking into creative outlets. He’d never stopped creating his art, but when he found photography he realized that not all artists starve.
He dove head first into creating beautiful photography and learning what it takes to make it a business rather than a hobby. Carlos is sharing his story and what aspiring artists and photographers can do to get started now. The best part? You don’t need to go out and buy thousands of dollars of equipment, start with what you have right now!
