Thank you for joining us for “This One Thing”. This week Kerri Kenyon Dern and Crystal Wright look at the powerful and hope-filled words of Jesus in His last message to His followers. Knowing that His death was near, He comforts them in John 16:33 by saying, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Kerri and Crystal share transparently as they reflect on Jesus' message of peace in the midst of trials; a message for his disciples and for all of us as believers. Join us as they discuss the truth found in the invitation to intimacy with Jesus through sorrow and hardships, and the choice to experience the peace Jesus has made available for us. Do you recognize Jesus’ invitation into peace in your own life? Have you received His invitation to use your pain and sorrow as a catalyst for peace? Is your heart fixated on your personal experiences with pain and suffering or the promise given to you that Jesus has already overcome? The joy of receiving God’s peace allows us to overcome every trial and difficulty in this world. And through the Holy Spirit, knowing Jesus gives us the strength we need to love others through our trials and sorrows. Take Heart!
