Episode 43 - Up-Level Your CommunityThis week I'm sharing an epiphany I had in the pool while swimming laps one day. I realized that I swim in two very different pools with different clientele, and because of this, my performance is quite different depending on which pool I am in. I realized that the environment we are in and the people we surround ourselves with dictate our performance and our results. When surrounded by people who are operating at the next level, we tend to rise to meet them. When we surround ourselves with people at our level or beneath us, we tend to stagnate. In fact, I often say, "If we're the smartest person in the room, we're in the wrong room." I know from personal experience that when I surround myself with true A-Players at the top of their game, I adopt their behaviours and habits, and I learn from what they are doing, and as a result, I achieve more success in less time. In short, they help me fast track my results. I talk you through a few essential questions that will help you uncover if you're swimming in the right pool or not, and I highly recommend you take the time to answer them. You may find that it's time to take action to up-level your community. Who is currently inspiring you? Who is answering your questions? Who is challenging you?Who is lifting you higher? Who is helping you connect with others and grow your network? We often don't do this because as women, we believe that we should be able to do it alone, and hate to admit it when we find out we do much better when we have the right connections. The secret recipe is simple: Connect you to people you should or need to know. These individuals will Support you in your journey. They will ultimately Inspire you to get to the next level.
