We were honoured to be invited to attend the Leeds Rhinos inaugural event last week, along with a number of key stakeholders for the franchise. We were able to sit down and chat with several pivotal figures in the Leeds Rhinos set-up, and this episode contains our chats with Gary Hetherington (Leeds Rhinos CEO), Dan Busfield (Franchise Manager), Mariana Pexton (Director at Leeds Rhinos Netball), Sian Jones (Head of Customer Experience), Maggie Birkinshaw (Assistant Coach and ex-England International) and Rhea Dixon (starting GA and member of the Roses 2021/22 squad). We discuss the challenges involved in the creation of the netball arm of the franchise, and how the netball arm works alongside the existing Leeds Rhinos franchise to create a stable and unified partnership.
