This episode (published on the 80th anniversary of The Silver King's first train ride to Nashville) is part Twenty-Two of the epilogue for Stanley's letters, "Dearest Ones," that he wrote to his family throughout the Second World War. Michael G. Sievers, the writer, producer and creator of "The Silver King's War" podcast series, reviews his work and father's war from The King's November 1944 in Northern France. Stanley wrote 14 November letters, including one on the 5th, describing his first mission over Germany. He celebrated with back flying pay (9000 francs) and Red Cross donuts as a member of the U. S. Army's 9th Air Force.
