Leadership is a joy when you have clarity and know where you are going in the next 3-5 years. Once you know where you’re going and you have your strategy to get there, it is time to determine the factors that are most important in the next short season. Getting the one thing that is most important and establish goals to set your GPS in that desired direction.
As a leader, it is your job to prioritize what matters most through thoughtful collaboration with your leadership team. You want their full participation and buy-in since they will be helping lead the charge. Once your leadership team is clear, now they can communicate "what matters most" to your team. This becomes your rally cry aka your Thematic Goal (thank you Table Group and Patrick Lencioni).
This podcast pertains to having effective meetings around these very important topics to set appropriate goals, and priorities, so your organization knows, What Matters Most!
This concludes our Clarity Changes Everything season and we share the quote that we started with here to inspire you to lead with clarity.
“Companies that enjoy enduring success have core values and a core purpose that remains fixed while their business strategies and practices endlessly adapt to a changing world.
To create an effective envisioned future requires a certain level of unreasonable confidence and commitment.”
- Jim Collins/Jerry Porras, ‘Building your Company’s Vision'
