In 1972, 7 year old Steven Stayner was abducted by Kenneth Parnell and held captive for more than 7 years, passing him off as his son. When he was getting too old for Parnell’s taste, he abducted 5 year old Timothy White. But Steven was not about to let Timothy suffer the same fate as he had, so he took Timothy and escaped. Both boys made their way home, and Steven was hailed a hero. But life wasn’t easy for Steven, trying to fit back into his family after so much time. And as it would turn out, the most resentful of in the wake of Steven’s return was his own brother Cary. Years later, Cary would embark on a violent journey, in some kind of twisted way to link himself to crimes more infamous than the one his brother was a victim of.
