Description

There is an old adage that states..."when America is in a recession, Blacks are in a depression".
Those 11 words are seemingly being brought to fruition by a litany of outside forces at this point in time. Yes, WE find ourselves in states of economic DEPRESSION long before the whole of society. Additionally, our depression far exceeds that which is created by economic duress. Depression within our community is created by the actions of those who are intent on destroying US and is being promulgated by numerous unidentifiable sources. However, some are as easily identifiable as the nose on one's face.

"eddie and n'em"
is a very short powerful piece that was composed as I rewatched the hit movie "Harlem Nights" for the twentieth time. The familiar scene where Arsenio Hall and his inept henchmen fire weapons wildly at their nemesis Eddie Murphy. This scene was to me analogous to the mindset that has long been desired for those within the African American community.

Destroy them from within.

The perpetual ostracization, demonization, villainization and marginalization of our people has seemingly now forced us to turn the rage created by outside forces on to ourselves. The interminable number of legitimate  "wild" shooting events has increased dramatically as the further erosion of civil rights, the pandemic and the sheer hatred of our people increases. It appears to me that the wielding of weapons, the more powerful the better, is in some way a method to exert power, and exercise control. Something that we oftentimes feel is lacking throughout the course of our lives.

In my layman's opinion the psychological turmoil created by the vast array of life's events is boiling over and is being manifested by the random fie events that are being carried out at numerous venues throughout our communities.

How will WE peacefully address the crying pleas of our people?

OUR SPIRIT LIVES!!!

PEACE!!!
