Boy, was I wrong. I now realize that...
"Ready Action"
...is a piece that captures the sentiment of all those who now find themselves disproportionately affected by the actions of those who lust to retain power.
Yes, I withheld it from publishing , because, unfortunately, I knew that it could be released at any time along this journey and remain cogent.
Why?
Because the underlying sentiment captured within the words of this piece continue to be manifested by the abhorrent actions of those in authority. An authority that is being cloaked in the non-conformist ideology that refuses to accede to the precept that the document, that is the foundation of their beliefs is indeed a living document-designed to address the needs of society as it relates to present times..
Make no mistake, the selfish desires of those in authority are being intentionally manifested in order to legitimize the intense desire to relegate persons of color, women, LGBTQ+, all those who occupy the space within a minority, to be cast interminably, to the fringes of society through judicial decisions, edicts and mandates.
Thus, through their concerted and methodical actions, allowing them to turn back the hands of time and affording them the freedom to continue to serve as puppet masters- exercising full control.
However, allow me to be abundantly clear...
in the case of the black man, and woman,..
HEAR US CLEARLY...
