Description

In this week’s study, I continue in verse 19 completing Chapter 1. I go into Chapter 2, giving a summary on the city Ephesus and their worship of the pagan goddess Diana.

Some notes verse 20: Stars = those messengers or bishops:
Ephesus = Timothy
Smyrna = Polycarp
Pergamos = Either Antipas or Caius
Thyatira = uncertain, could have been Lydia of Acts 16:14
Sardis = Melito
Philadelphia = Demetrius
Laodiceans = Epaphras of Col. 2 or Archippus

Chapter 2; STRUCTURE

 Correspondent to Israel in the Wilderness.

1. EPHESUS. Israel's espousals. (First love verse 4)
  2. SMYRNA. Israel's testing. (We read of their tribulation and their faith which is a testing)
  3. PERGAMOS. Israel's failure. (Denied the faith of Yahshua Messiah)
   In the Land.
  4. THYATIRA. The day of Israel's kings. (Jezebel teaching and seducing Yahweh’s elect)
  5. SARDIS. Israel's removal. (Not finding their works acceptable to Yahweh)
  6. PHILADELPHIA. The day of Judah's kings. (Having that Key of David)
  7. LAODICEA. Judah's removal. (Because the are lukewarm)

 Chapter 2 verse 1 = angel = “ang'-el-os” messenger. According to the Apostolical Constitutions, this messenger was Timothy [read 1 Tim. 1:3, keep in mind that Timothy was probably wrote around 67 AD.]

Allow me to leave you with these verses from Numbers 14:6-9; And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.

Aleph = is a picture of an ox head and it means strength, leader

Tav = is a picture of 2 sticks crossed and it means a sign, covenant seal, mark and cross

The Aleph-Tav is the strength of the covenant of the cross. Only Yahshua Messiah can make that Claim!

 Allow me to clear up some things before I begin. First of all you will hear me use the words Yahweh and Yahshua Messiah instead of God and Jesus Christ. I found out through the years that the word God may not necessarily mean the same to everyone. For instance, in Freemasonry the number 1 requirement is that you believe in a God. Doesn’t matter what religion you are as long as you believe in a God. I personally like to use these words Yahweh and Yahshua Messiah. To me this puts me in a closer spiritual relationship with our Creator. I am not a so called Messianic Teacher! I come to realize that every time I inhale or exhale I am saying Yahweh. Try saying Yahweh and see if you are not inhaling and exhaling. After all we our created in His image!

My intention is to take this study to a deep level. Deeper than most of you are used to! I am asking no one to agree with me; however I do ask that you check every detail that I present out for yourself.

Don’t end up like those in Hosea 4:6 ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God (Elohim), I will also forget thy children.’

But, be like those in 2Timothy 2:15 ‘Study to shew thyself approved unto God (Yahweh), a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.’
