In this week’s study, we continue our study in Chapter 6 with the 3rd Seal. Many who look at world conditions and examine the issues and events of our time believe they are witnessing Bible prophecy being fulfilled. Things seem aligned geopolitically, socioeconomically, religiously, and in most any other category of end-times signals one might care to examine.
It is relatively easy to make the case that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled today. As previously indicated, Yahshua Messiahs’ Olivet Discourse seems to outline almost without exception each of the many things leaping from today’s news headlines.
Yahshua answered some of His closest disciples’ questions by foretelling the signals that would immediately precede His Kingdom coming into its full authority and power. He said:
· People would come in His name, claiming He is Christ, but they would be deceivers.
· There would be unusually widespread wars.
· There would be rumors of even greater wars.
· Nations would rise in conflict against other nations.
· Kingdoms would be in conflict with other kingdoms.
· There would be famines.
· There would be diseases and other natural disorders.
· There would be earthquakes occurring in many places.

Black horse = famine of food and especially the “word of Yahweh” Amos 8:11
Black, in the Scriptures, is the image of fear, of famine, of death.
The balances = The original word rendered here as “a pair of balances,” is zugon. This word properly means a yoke, serving to couple anything together, as a yoke for cattle. Therefore it is used to signify the beam of a balance, or of a pair of scales - and is evidently so used here.
6 three measures of barley for a penny = the cheaper and less nutritious grain, bought by the laborer who could not buy enough wheat for his family with his day’s wages, a denarius, and, therefore, buys barley.
Oil = olive oil from the tree. “the Anointed Oil”. Lets take a look at the Greek spelling of this word. “el-ah-yon” in the Strong's it is number 1637, same as 1636, “el-ah-yah. Now these letters make up Yahweh’s titles in the Hebrew. El = strength, Yah = Yahweh, [in a special sense and relation, Yahweh as having become Salvation!] Elyon = El as the most High.
So we can conclude that it’s well understood by most prophecy scholars that the rider on the black horse brings famine with him when he rides. But it’s more than that—this rider also brings economic inequality, slavery, and a financial yoke that subjects the world to the control of a newly formed, global government.
My intention is to take this study to a deep level. Deeper than most of you are used to! I am asking no one to agree with me; however I do ask that you check every detail that I present out for yourself.
Don’t end up like those in Hosea 4:6 ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God (Elohim), I will also forget thy children.’
But, be like those in 2Timothy 2:15 ‘Study to shew thyself approved unto God (Yahweh), a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.’
